A Intel\u00a0divulgou, nesta sexta-feira (16), uma grande mudan\u00e7a na nomenclatura de seus processadores focados em dispositivos port\u00e1teis: os nomes Pentium e Celeron v\u00e3o (finalmente) sair de cena \u2013 ao menos em notebooks. A empresa abre m\u00e3o das marcas que ficaram famosas nos anos de 1990 e vai adotar apenas \u201cIntel Processor\u201d, mais nada.<\/h5>\n
Se voc\u00ea \u00e9 como eu e tem mais de 30 anos, passou boa parte da vida lendo o nome Pentium e colocando bons pensamentos sobre esta marca. Aos poucos os melhores processadores voltados para o consumidor final da Intel mudaram de nome e hoje s\u00e3o \u201cCore\u201d com i3, i5, i7 e i9, enquanto a nomenclatura antiga ficou reservada para PCs mais simples.<\/h5>\n
O Celeron j\u00e1 nasceu menos pomposo, mas seguiu o mesmo caminho e hoje aparece em computadores dos mais baratos e simples. A partir de agora tudo muda e a Intel n\u00e3o vai mais utilizar o nome Pentium, nem Celeron em seus processadores para laptops. A nova forma para chamar estes chips ser\u00e1 apenas de Intel Processor \u2013 ou Processador Intel, em tradu\u00e7\u00e3o livre e n\u00e3o oficial.<\/h5>\n
Nada muda para os Intel Core, vPro e Evo<\/h5>\n
A altera\u00e7\u00e3o come\u00e7a a valer a partir do ano que vem e a Intel diz que foca a aposentadoria dos nomes Pentium e Celeron para os processadores feitos para notebooks. \u201cA nova marca do Intel\u00ae Processor simplificar\u00e1 nossas ofertas para que os usu\u00e1rios possam se concentrar em escolher o processador certo para suas necessidades,\u201d diz Josh Newman, vice-presidente da Intel e gerente geral interino de plataformas de clientes m\u00f3veis.<\/h5>\n
A Intel acredita que aposentar os nomes Pentium e Celeron vai ajudar na hora do consumidor escolher o componente ou um PC j\u00e1 montado.<\/h5>\n
As outras marcas da Intel seguem inalteradas, mantendo os nomes Core, Evo e vPro no mercado exatamente como acontece atualmente. Olhando para os modelos mais simples, mesmo que juntando duas fam\u00edlias de processadores em um s\u00f3 nome, a empresa seguir\u00e1 criando diversas variantes para p\u00fablicos distintos.<\/h5>\n
